Acura RDX

Check out how the two models stack up against each other near Saint Augustine.

BMW X3 versus Acura RDX: Performance

  • Both models are equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. The BMW excels past that as it also offers a 3.0-liter M Performance TwinPower turbocharged engine. The Acura model only offers a 2.0-liter for its RDX lineup.
  • Each model is equipped with an automatic transmission- an eight-speed in the BMW X3 and a ten-speed option in the RDX SUV. Both have the ability to access Sport and Manual shift modes, if you really want to control how you handle the roads around Middleburg, FL.
  • The BMW X3 doesn't come standard with all-wheel drive but some models in the lineup are available with it as part of their standard equipment. The Acura RDX also offers all-wheel drive but, just like the BMW SAV, it's not something standard.
  • If you're looking to find a model that handles your daily commute, go with the BMW X3. It achieves better fuel efficiency than the RDX in the city and on the highways of Florida.

BMW X3 versus Acura RDX: Interior Comforts

  • If you're looking to provide the roomiest ride for your five passengers, the Acura SUV squeaks out a bit more space than the X3 offers. While the BMW has more room for passenger's heads, the RDX gives out more legroom for passengers to stretch out.
  • When you want to take on your next camping trip in style, the BMW X3 is ready to maximize the trunk space. When you fold down the back seats, you can get up to 62.7 cubic feet of cargo space which is more than the 58.9 cubic feet of space you'll find in the Acura RDX.

BMW X3 versus Acura RDX: Technology and Safety

  • Being able to enjoy your songs and apps should be easy and both models certainly provide the technology to do so. The BMW is standard with the iDrive system while the Acura offers the Acura Premium Audio System. Both have stellar sound systems but the X3 provides a bit more music immersion with 12 speakers to the nine available in the RDX.
  • With a BMW X3, you get the choice of going with an optional 8.8-inch instrument screen or a 12.3-inch optional Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster. Acura comes standard with a 10.2-inch dual-content center display but doesn't offer a screen size over 10.5-inches for any of their setups.
  • Both models have the ability to provide an enjoyable trip every time you get behind the wheel in Orange Park but the BMW offers a bit more. This includes three-zone automatic climate control, standard on the X3 but non-existent on the RDX.
  • While both models are well-equipped to keep your family safe, the BMW offers a safety package of active features that doesn't include as many as the Acura RDX. That being said, the X3 is standard with an impact sensor that will disconnect your alternator, fuel pump and starter from your battery, unlock doors and turn on your hazards and interior lights in the event of a crash. Acura doesn't have a feature that does quite the same.

Both models offer a variety of standard features and exotic options to help improve your driving experience. If you'd like to learn more about the BMW X3, swing by our dealership in Jacksonville and we'll set you up with a test drive today!
